I was lying awake and it’s was a few minutes past 5am. Like most people, I decided to check on Facebook to pass my boredom and read a couple of articles on Facebook. That’s when I came across an article by Pink News – The shocking abuse aimed at Tom Daley over baby news should be a wakeup call for LGBT people and I must say, I felt rage building up inside me. Why? Well, there are a few things in this world that get me riled up and one of them is when journalists use the power they have to do more harm than good.
I usually stay away from Daily Mail due to the utter nonsense their journalists come up with sometimes. I’m often told by Daily Mail readers that the newspaper offers a different opinion on everyday news. Personally, I think they talk more shite than any other news agency.
Going back to the reason why I’m annoyed and wide awake this morning – Little John’s comments on Tom’s baby news. ‘Pass the sick bag’ comments. Mate, it’s 2018. I thought by now we would have warmed up to the idea of children being raised by… you know, humans. Two dads, two mums, grandparents, whatever the combo, children can and have been raised by a wide range of ‘parents’ for years. The truth is, it doesn’t matter what type of parent/parents raise the child. As long as they are looked after well and given all the love and nourishment they deserve. Wouldn’t you agree?
